We started the day traveling to Broadwater in West Sussex for Zac and Brittany’s wedding, as the couple were to have the service in St Mary’s Church in Broadwater their local town. Followed by the reception at Southdowns Manor near Petersfield in Hampshire.
We joined Brittany at the couples house where the girls were busy getting ready. The boys however were at a The Cricketers Pub just a short walk from the church. Both sides of the party were in good spirits and excited to get on with their big day. We were all praying that it didn’t rain, thankfully these prayers were answered, although a little gloomy to start the sun came out a little later on.
After the service we captured the group photos, followed by the all important confetti shot. I love these images, they really capture the spirit of the day! Then it was of in the beautiful wedding car to celebrate at Southdowns Manor.
Southdowns Manor is in the heart of the southdowns national park surrounded by fields and pleasant grounds with a pretty gazebo which was perfect for a photograph we had in mind with the couple while taking their romantic shots. We had invested in a couple of smoke grenades and were eager to try them out. So duly positioned the couple and set them off. The effect was stunning but word of warning don’t move smoke grenades near a brides dress as it can turn it blue…lol . Luckily not too much damage was done and I think the outcome is stunning and something the couple will always remember.
After the reception we joined the groomsmen in the conservatory for some fun pictures. I loved the chequered black and white floor which looked great against the boys dark trousers and white shirts, brilliant for black and white pictures.
We stayed until the first dance leaving the couple to enjoy their evening with family and friends and drove home happy in the knowledge that we had captured some original photos for this lovely couple!
