A Royal Blue Wedding at Southdowns Manor – Mr & Mrs Reilly-Donnelly

Wedding Date: 29th March 2026

Every wedding at Southdowns Manor tells its own unique story, and for Mr & Mrs Reilly-Donnelly, their day was filled with beautiful royal blue styling, heartfelt moments and thoughtful details that created memories to last a lifetime.

From the moment they first visited Southdowns Manor, they knew they had found the perfect place to celebrate with their family and friends.

Why They Chose Southdowns Manor

When searching for their dream wedding venue, practicality was just as important as beauty.

The couple loved that Southdowns Manor offered an all-inclusive package, making planning simple and stress-free.

“The first thing that enticed us to the venue was the fact that everything was included in the price – the food, drinks and accommodation. We also loved that we could spread the cost with monthly payments leading up to the wedding.”

With a large guest list, they were also looking for a venue that offered plenty of space while still feeling warm and welcoming.

The option of an outdoor ceremony was another huge attraction, and although the weather meant they celebrated indoors, they were still able to enjoy the beautiful gardens and capture stunning photographs around the venue’s charming gazebos.

A Royal Blue Wedding Theme

Their chosen colour palette of royal blue perfectly complemented the elegant surroundings of Southdowns Manor.

The rich blue tones added a luxurious feel throughout the day, creating a timeless and sophisticated atmosphere.

The couple commented on how seamlessly the venue flowed from ceremony to wedding breakfast and then onto the evening reception, allowing guests to relax and enjoy every moment of the celebration.

The Wedding Attire

The bride looked breathtaking in a lace wedding gown featuring delicate sparkle detailing and a soft champagne underlayer, adding warmth and elegance to her bridal look.

Later in the evening, she changed into a stylish royal blue one-shoulder jumpsuit, perfectly matching the day’s colour scheme while allowing her to dance the night away.

The groom wore a classic black suit with a royal blue waistcoat and tie, mirrored by his Best Man, while the groomsmen completed the look with royal blue ties and matching buttonholes.

The bridesmaids wore elegant halter-neck royal blue dresses with lace detailing that beautifully complemented the bride’s gown.

Beautiful Artificial Wedding Flowers

To create a lasting keepsake from their wedding day, the couple chose artificial flowers in shades of blue and white.

Their bouquets featured elegant Calla Lilies, roses and pearl detailing, allowing them to treasure their flowers long after the celebrations had ended.

A Cake Everyone Could Enjoy

Wanting every guest to enjoy their wedding cake regardless of dietary requirements, the couple chose a beautiful three-tier dairy-free cake.

The flavours included:

  • Chocolate
  • Lemon & Raspberry
  • Vanilla

Finished with stunning blue and white marbling and delicate gold leaf detailing, it looked every bit as impressive as it tasted.

Capturing Every Moment

The couple chose Howard from Chins Images as their wedding photographer.

Rather than planning lots of formal poses, they trusted Howard’s natural style to capture genuine moments throughout the day.

“He mainly captured candid moments, but also encouraged us to move around naturally, which resulted in genuine smiles, laughter and some incredibly emotional photographs.”

A Favourite Wedding Moment

One of the highlights of the day came immediately after the ceremony.

Southdowns Manor’s beautiful Confetti Aisle, flooded with natural light through its floor-to-ceiling windows, created the perfect setting as guests showered the newlyweds with blue, white and silver flower petal confetti.

It became one of the couple’s favourite memories and created some truly unforgettable photographs.

Another thoughtful touch that stood out was the care taken by the Southdowns Manor team during the photography session.

“After the ceremony, the Events Manager had canapés ready for us while we were having our photographs taken to make sure we had something to eat. Throughout the day, the team made sure we stayed fed, hydrated and had plenty of energy to enjoy every moment.”

Advice for Future Southdowns Manor Couples

When asked what advice they would give to couples planning their own Southdowns Manor wedding, their answer was immediate:

“We would recommend every couple chooses the Signed, Sealed & Delivered package – it’s 1000% worth it!”

A Huge Thank You

Reflecting on their wedding day, the couple shared some wonderful feedback about their experience:

“The staff at the venue made the lead up to our wedding day completely stress free and gave us the most perfect day we could ever have dreamed of. The venue itself was stunning and looked absolutely magical.

The food was amazing (especially the cheesecake!) and the staff went above and beyond. They made sure both myself and my husband stayed fed and hydrated throughout the day, and they even had a few special surprises prepared just for us.

A massive thank you to Becky, our Events Manager, for making sure everything ran perfectly and that everyone was happy.”
