Real Weddings at Southdowns Manor: Stacey & Anthony’s Fun-Filled Spring Wedding

Every couple has their own vision for their wedding day, and for Stacey and Anthony, it was simple – they wanted a day that was full of fun, surrounded by their favourite people, in a beautiful setting they could enjoy exclusively with their family and friends.

Celebrating their wedding on 4th April 2026, Stacey and Anthony chose Southdowns Manor as the perfect backdrop for their special day, creating memories they will treasure forever.

Falling in Love with Southdowns Manor

When searching for their dream wedding venue, Southdowns Manor quickly stood out.

“The surroundings are beautiful. Exclusive use. Everyone in one place – the honeymoon suite and getting ready room.”

The stunning countryside views, exclusive-use setting, and convenience of having everything under one roof made Southdowns Manor the perfect choice. From the excitement of getting ready in the morning through to the final dance of the evening, Stacey and Anthony loved being able to share every moment with their loved ones in one beautiful location.

A Wedding All About Having Fun

While some couples choose a specific theme or colour concept, Stacey and Anthony had a different priority.

“No theme. Just wanted it to be fun.”

Their focus was on creating a relaxed atmosphere where guests could enjoy themselves, celebrate together, and make lasting memories. Sometimes the simplest vision creates the most memorable day, and that’s exactly what happened.

Romantic Colours and a Fairytale Dress

The couple chose a classic and elegant colour palette that perfectly complemented the springtime setting.

The bridesmaids looked beautiful in dusky pink dresses, while the groomsmen wore rich wine-coloured suits that added a touch of sophistication to the day. Stacey completed the look in a stunning princess-style wedding gown, creating a timeless bridal look that perfectly suited the romantic surroundings of Southdowns Manor.

Handmade Flowers with a Personal Touch

Adding a personal element to their wedding décor, Stacey and Anthony decided to create their own floral arrangements.

“Bought from Temu and made our own. Pink and white to match bridesmaid dresses.”

The pink and white flowers tied beautifully into the wedding colour scheme and demonstrated how thoughtful DIY touches can add both personality and meaning to a wedding day.

A Sweet Alternative to a Traditional Wedding Cake

Rather than opting for a large traditional wedding cake, Stacey and Anthony chose a dessert display that offered something for everyone.

“Small top tier to cut. Then cupcakes, rocky roads, flapjacks, cookies so people could help themselves.”

Their dessert table became a wonderful talking point and gave guests plenty of delicious options to enjoy throughout the celebrations. It perfectly reflected the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere the couple wanted to create.

Relaxed Photography and Beautiful Scenery

To capture the day, the couple chose photographer Ian Gray and had a clear vision for their wedding photographs.

“Just wanted relaxed pics.”

With Southdowns Manor’s stunning gardens and panoramic countryside views, there was no shortage of beautiful locations for natural, candid photographs. The relaxed style perfectly suited the feel of the day, allowing genuine moments and emotions to shine through.

A Surprise Highlight

Every wedding has a moment that stands out above the rest, and for Stacey, there was one unforgettable surprise.

“A secret singer. He was my highlight.”

The surprise performance brought excitement, emotion, and entertainment to the celebrations, creating a memorable moment that Stacey will always treasure.

Advice for Future Southdowns Manor Couples

Having experienced her own wedding day at Southdowns Manor, Stacey has some simple but valuable advice for future couples.

“Have pics outside in the beautiful scenery.”

The breathtaking South Downs backdrop offers endless opportunities for stunning wedding photographs, and taking advantage of the venue’s beautiful outdoor spaces is something many couples are glad they did.

A Day to Remember

Reflecting on their experience, Stacey spoke warmly about the support she received throughout the planning process.

“Becky was very helpful throughout the organising process. The day went really well and everyone enjoyed the day.”
