Time to Give Something Back: Introducing Our £1,000 Wedding Initiative

At Southdowns Manor, we are lucky enough to be part of one of the most important days in a couple’s life.

Every year, we watch couples celebrate with the people they love most. We see the excitement of the wedding morning, the emotion of the ceremony, the laughter over dinner and the celebrations that continue long into the evening.

But we also know that getting married isn’t always as straightforward as simply setting a date.

For many couples, life gets in the way.

Perhaps wedding plans have been put on hold while they saved for a house. Maybe they had children first. Perhaps family commitments, unexpected circumstances or the rising cost of everyday life meant that their wedding simply had to wait.

And sometimes, a couple may have dreamed of getting married at a beautiful venue but felt that it was simply beyond their reach.

That’s why, for a limited number of dates, we’re doing something a little different.

Introducing Time to Give Something Back

Time to Give Something Back – The Southdowns Manor Wedding Initiative has been created to help make a Southdowns Manor wedding possible for more couples.

For selected dates in December 2026, January 2027 and February 2027, couples will have the opportunity to celebrate their wedding at Southdowns Manor with up to 40 daytime guests for £1,000.

This isn’t about turning Southdowns Manor into a discount wedding venue.

And it isn’t simply another special offer.

This is about creating an opportunity.

An opportunity for couples who may have been waiting.

An opportunity to bring together their closest family and friends.

And an opportunity to finally say, “Let’s do it.”

A Beautifully Simple Wedding

The Time to Give Something Back initiative has been designed around a smaller, more intimate wedding celebration.

The £1,000 offering is based on up to 40 daytime guests and includes the opportunity to enjoy an exclusive celebration at Southdowns Manor, with a welcome drink and a three-course wedding meal.

We have intentionally kept the experience beautifully simple.

However, every couple and every wedding is different, which is why there will also be the opportunity to personalise your celebration.

Couples can choose to add extras such as:

• Additional daytime guests
• Evening guests
• Accommodation
• The Honeymoon Suite
• Additional drinks
• Evening food
• Venue styling and finishing touches

So, while the initiative offers an affordable starting point, couples can still create a celebration that feels right for them.

Because Love Shouldn’t Have to Wait Forever

There is rarely a perfect time to get married.

Life will always be busy. There will always be something else to pay for, somewhere else to be or a reason to put plans on hold for another year.

But for some couples, that “someday” can keep moving further away.

We hope this initiative might give a small number of couples the opportunity to stop waiting and start planning.

To gather the people who matter most.

To celebrate their relationship.

And to begin the next chapter together.

Because every love story deserves a beautiful beginning.

A Wedding That Gives Back

There is another important part of the initiative too.

Every couple who celebrates their wedding as part of Time to Give Something Back will have the opportunity to nominate a local charity or community organisation that means something to them.

Southdowns Manor will then make a donation in celebration of their wedding.

It might be a charity that has supported them or someone close to them.

It could be a local organisation doing important work within their community.

Or simply a cause that means something special to them.

We love the idea that, alongside celebrating the start of their married life, each couple can help create a positive impact for someone else too.

A wedding day is about bringing people together.

Through this initiative, we hope each celebration can have a ripple effect that reaches a little further.

December 2026 January 2027 February 2027

As the number of weddings available through the initiative is limited, we are asking couples who are interested to express their interest and tell us a little about their wedding plans.
