Amy & Oliver’s Dream Come True Wedding
Why Southdowns Manor?
When we asked what made them choose Southdowns Manor over other wedding venues in the area, they said: “The fact that it is exclusive to you and your guests on your special day is unlike a hotel. The fact it had stunning grounds gives a great photo opportunity. The fact there was enough accommodation for our families to stay at the venue the night of the day.”
So Many Lovely Memories
We couldn’t be prouder when our couples tell us they look back on their day at Southdowns Manor with only the happiest memories. Amy and Oliver shared: “We had the most magical day ever, it was everything we had ever dreamed of and more. All of our guests said that they had the most amazing time, they enjoyed the food and drinks and spoke so highly of the beautiful venue, grounds and its staff.”
“All the staff from Southdowns Manor are a credit to the venue. It wouldn’t have been the same without them, they all work so hard to make your day so special. Special thanks to Becky, who was our coordinator. She helped us with all the planning, which I am grateful for and was on hand on the day of the wedding so everything ran so seamlessly.”
“It was a dream come true. We have so many lovely memories of our wedding day and we would highly recommend Southdowns Manor to any of our friends and family planning their big day!”
Wedding Day Theme
The couple chose a simple, classy wedding theme with white flowers and elegant touches throughout. White bud vases were used for floral arrangements, while frosted acrylic and white ink adorned the wedding signage. Mirrored centrepieces scattered with tea lights added a romantic glow to the wedding breakfast tables. Their stunning three-tier wedding cake featured a pearl-accented acrylic middle tier and was finished off with a personalised cake topper celebrating ‘Mr. & Mrs. Barnett’.
The Outfits
Amy looked breathtaking in a backless ivory A-line gown, paired with a long veil featuring pearl details, and a white bouquet. A beaded headband and sleek up-do completed the elegant look.
Oliver and both fathers looked dapper in navy tailcoats with brown leather lace-up shoes. The mothers of the bride and groom wore blue dresses, perfectly complementing the sophisticated theme.
The bridesmaids were dressed in navy chiffon floor-length dresses, each holding smaller versions of Amy’s white bouquet. The couple’s flower girl looked angelic in an ivory dress.
The Photography
The couple chose Joanna Cleeve, one of our trusted recommended photographers, to capture their special day. Joanna specialises in romantic, laid-back imagery that reflects each couple’s personality. Her playful poses and striking black-and-white silhouettes beautifully encapsulated Amy and Oliver’s love story.
Stand-Out Wedding Moments
Often the best wedding memories are those shared with your nearest and dearest, and this was certainly true for Amy and Oliver. Amy fondly recalls: “I loved the confetti walk before going through to the wedding breakfast. We had a mixture of blue paper confetti for all our guests and we have the best video of it!”
Advice For Other Couples
When asked if they had any words of wisdom to share with couples preparing to tie the knot at Southdowns Manor, our newlyweds said: “Enjoy every moment, take lots of pictures and videos, and take a moment to stand with your new husband or wife and just look at the room and what you’ve planned. Look at all your guests having a wonderful time. It’s so special, because it’s true what they say, the day goes so fast!”
Congratulations to you both!
