From a Disney-inspired cake to a starlit celebration beneath the Southdowns sky, Jason and Rebecca Thurgood’s spring wedding was a perfect blend of elegance, romance and fun. Their day was full of colour, joy and those little personal touches that made it truly unforgettable.

Why Southdowns Manor?

For Jason and Rebecca, it was love at first sight — quite literally. The couple were instantly captivated by the stunning starlit ceiling in the wedding breakfast room and the Manor’s picturesque location in the heart of the South Downs National Park. Southdowns Manor offered everything they were dreaming of — timeless charm, a breathtaking backdrop, and the magical atmosphere they’d hoped for.

A Springtime Celebration

Their wedding theme combined classic navy and plum with vibrant spring brights, creating a fresh and romantic palette throughout the day. From décor to florals, every detail was thought through with care and creativity.

Bridal Style & Groom’s Attire

Rebecca looked sensational in a Morelee Sparkle Tulle ballgown, featuring dimensional floral lace, a beautiful keyhole back, and a textured chapel-length train — a gown made for a fairytale moment. Jason complemented the theme perfectly in a navy morning suit, a stylish waistcoat, and a plum cravat to match the seasonal tones of the day.

The Florals

Their wedding flowers were a unique mix of elegance and seasonal flair — a beautiful arrangement of plum peace lilies, dark-eyed cream gerberas, and astrantia sparkling stars added charm and colour throughout the venue.

A Cake with Meaning

Their three-tiered wedding cake wasn’t just delicious — it told a story. Featuring layers of white chocolate and raspberry, white chocolate and passionfruit, and lemon, the cake was topped with a Disney castle as a nod to where Jason proposed. A perfect blend of sentimentality and sweetness!
