Rachel & Jordan’s Elegant Black & White Celebration at Southdowns Manor

From the moment Rachel and Jordan stepped foot into Southdowns Manor, they knew it was the one. It was the first and only venue they visited—and it stole their hearts instantly.

Set in the stunning South Downs countryside, Southdowns Manor provided the dream setting for their timeless black and white wedding.

The Wedding Theme: Classic Black & White Elegance

Rachel and Jordan chose a chic and sophisticated black and white theme, which added a touch of timeless glamour to their entire day. The décor and styling were beautifully complemented by the natural beauty of the venue and its surroundings.

The Wedding Party Style

• Bride: Rachel wore an elegant white satin ball gown, radiating grace and beauty as she walked down the aisle.
• Bridesmaids: Dressed in sleek black asymmetric matte satin dresses, offering a striking contrast to the bride’s classic white gown.
• Groom & Groomsmen: Jordan and his groomsmen looked sharp in traditional black tuxedos with bow ties—classic, formal, and totally fitting for the theme.

Florals & Finishing Touches

The couple opted for artificial ivory roses and lilies, creating a soft and romantic floral look that tied perfectly into their colour scheme.

Their cake was just as considered—a two-tier vanilla sponge filled with fresh cream and strawberry compote, finished with smooth Swiss meringue buttercream. It was made by Patisserie Valerie, decorated with artificial black roses and a charming topper featuring the bride, groom, and their beloved cat!

Their photographer, Sam Clarke Photography, brought their day to life with a relaxed and natural approach. Rachel and Jordan didn’t request a particular style—but were over the moon with the beautiful photo opportunities Southdowns Manor offered.

“Sam had so many great ideas for photos in the grounds and surrounding area—it made everything feel so effortless.”

While they didn’t have a videographer, the photos captured every special moment of their unforgettable day.

A Day to Remember

Rachel and Jordan described the entire experience as flawless—from their first tour to the final toast.

“Genuinely, the whole day and service from Southdowns Manor blew us away. Lia’s care and attention really took the stress away and allowed us to soak everything in and enjoy it.”

Their ceremony was, of course, a standout moment—but seeing their loved ones enjoying the grounds and sunshine made it all the more special. The April sun shone brightly all day, adding even more joy to an already perfect celebration.
