From the moment you first visit Southdowns Manor to enjoying breakfast as newlyweds the morning after the night before, it’s the job of our Wedding Event Managers to look after you every step of the way and make sure your wedding day is everything you’ve always dreamed it would be.
Wedding planning made easy
Planning the wedding of your dreams takes a lot of organisation, and we’re here to help as much or as little as you need us to. If you already have your plans for the day mapped out but need to ask us one or two questions, that’s fine. If you’d like us to be more involved, offer advice or make recommendations, we have the experience to help make the wedding planning process a breeze. Whatever your vision for your big day, it’s our privilege to help you make it a reality.
Before the big day arrives
Two months before your wedding, you’ll be invited to Southdowns Manor to sit down with your Events Manager and go over the final plans for your big day. This Final Planning Meeting is your chance to tell us exactly how you want your wedding day to unfold here at Southdowns Manor, so that we can make sure everything is just the way you want it to be.
Together, we’ll come up with a detailed programme for the day so that we know what’s happening when. We’ll compile a list of all your suppliers, such as your photographer, florist and so on, so that we can contact them if we need to. We’ll also arrange a time just before your wedding when you can come to Southdowns and drop off all your decorations, drinks and anything else you’ll need for the big day.
Supporting you throughout your wedding day
We understand nerves can run high on your big day, so we’re here to make sure it all goes to plan. We’ll be on hand to support you from start to finish, putting up your decorations for you, liaising with your florist, cake supplier and photographer, and making sure everything is just as you want it to be. From helping pin on button holes to lighting tea lights, we’re here to assist with every little detail of your day.
We’ll help you settle into our honeymoon suite and meet and greet guests while you’re putting the finishing touches on your hair and make-up. We’ll welcome your Registrar and go through timings, guiding you through your big entrance and making sure the music you’ve chosen is played at the right points during your ceremony.
We’ll help mastermind the day so that your guests are in the right places at the right times, liaising with your Best Man, Ushers and catering staff and making sure your decorations are moved where necessary. While you’re enjoying your wedding banquet, we’ll make sure your presents and cards are moved to your suite for you to open at your leisure, and we’ll make sure you have everything you need for speeches, cake-cutting and anything else you have planned for your festivities, right to the end of the evening.
