LOCATED ON THE BORDER OF SURREY
An Exclusive-Use Surrey Wedding Venue in the South Downs
WEDDING VENUE SURREY
Southdowns Manor is an exclusive-use wedding venue just south of the Surrey border, inside the South Downs National Park. One couple, one wedding, the whole manor: that’s how every booking works here.
For couples searching across Surrey, we’re the countryside option that doesn’t cost Surrey prices. The A3 brings Guildford, Farnham and Godalming to our door in well under an hour, and the manor sits in the kind of unbroken green landscape that’s increasingly hard to find inside the county itself.
Say your vows beneath the garden gazebo or in the elegant Ceremony Room, celebrate with up to 150 guests, then send your favourite people up to our 14 guest rooms while the two of you take the Honeymoon Suite.
Request a brochure or book a private viewing, and come and see what’s waiting just over the border.
One Couple, One Manor, One Unforgettable Day
From the moment your first guest arrives to the last dance of the night, Southdowns Manor belongs entirely to your wedding party. No strangers in the bar, no second event in another wing, no sharing the gardens for photographs.
It changes the whole feel of the day. Couples relax, guests spread out and make themselves at home, and the celebration unfolds at your pace rather than a venue timetable.

Why Choose Southdowns Manor Over Other Wedding Venues in Surrey?
Plenty of wedding venues in Surrey offer beautiful rooms. What they can't offer is a National Park on every side. The manor stands in open countryside with rolling hills in every direction, which means golden-hour photographs, garden drinks with a view, and not a rooftop in sight.
Inside, classic decor meets contemporary comfort, and a team who have hosted hundreds of weddings shape the day around the two of you.
Stay Over: 15 Bedrooms Under One Roof
The celebration doesn't end when the music stops. With 14 guest rooms plus the Honeymoon Suite, your closest family and friends stay the night and join you for breakfast the next morning, which couples consistently tell us is one of their favourite parts of the whole weekend.

The Honeymoon Suite
Your first night as a married couple deserves the best room in the house: a four-poster bed, a large circular bath, a walk-in shower, and views across the South Downs that you’ll want to wake up to slowly.
Deluxe Suites
Two deluxe double suites give your VIPs somewhere special of their own, each with a fully equipped bathroom, light-filled decor and views over the grounds.
The remaining double rooms are designed for a proper night’s sleep, with their own individual character and everything your guests need to be comfortable.
Flexible Options For Your Wedding Ceremony
Licensed for civil ceremonies indoors and out, with St George's Church in Trotton nearby for church weddings, and experience across every kind of celebration.
Church Weddings
St George’s Church in Trotton, a 14th-century Grade I listed gem, sits just along the lane from the manor. Marry there in historic surroundings, then bring everyone back to Southdowns Manor for the reception.

Winter Weddings
Winter here means candlelight, log fires and the Downs wearing their moodiest colours. An indoor ceremony in the manor followed by a cosy evening celebration takes some beating between November and February, and winter dates often come with our best offers.
Civil Ceremonies
We hold a full civil ceremony licence, so you can marry legally on site: indoors in the Ceremony Room, or outdoors beneath the gazebo with countryside on every side. The team tailors every ceremony around the couple.
Intimate Weddings
Not every wedding needs 150 guests. If your perfect day is a handful of your favourite people, we scale everything down without it ever feeling pared back: same exclusive use, same care, smaller table.
Same Sex Marriages
Every couple is celebrated at Southdowns Manor. We’ve hosted beautiful weddings for couples of every kind, and our team would be honoured to help plan yours.
Whirlwind Weddings
Can’t wait? You might not have to. When availability allows, we offer short-notice bookings, with the same exclusive use and the same support from our planning team, just on a faster timeline.
Multicultural Weddings
Blending two cultures into one celebration takes experience, and our specialist planners have plenty. From ceremony structure to catering, we’ll help you build a day where every family tradition has its place.
Two-Day Weddings
Stretch the celebration across two days: arrive early, gather everyone for dinner the night before, and wake up already surrounded by your favourite people with no morning rush.

Enjoy Our Award-Winning Dining Experience at Your Wedding Reception
Food is one of the things guests remember most, and ours wins awards. The kitchen team builds your menu around your guests, with meat, fish, vegetarian and vegan dishes across the wedding breakfast and evening service.
Favourites include cod with a coriander and sweet chilli crust, confit duck leg and lemon thyme roast chicken, alongside plant-based dishes like risotto primavera. There's a proper children's choice too, and a dessert menu worth saving room for.
Buffet Options
For a more relaxed evening, choose a buffet: breaded chicken goujons, filled mini Italian rolls, barbecue pork ribs and more, or go informal with our popular pizza buffet.
However you feed your guests, we’ll match the food to the mood of your celebration.
**Special Touches Make All the Difference**
The small details are where a good wedding becomes yours, and at our Surrey wedding venue the coordinators sweat those details from your first enquiry to the last song.
**Wedding Photography**
We’ll happily help you find a photographer whose style fits, and our partnership with Smiles Better Photo Booth gives your guests something to giggle over at the reception.
**Add Some Sparkle to Your Day**
Selfie mirror, love lights, sequinned table runners, lantern lights, a post box for cards: mix and match from the sparkle package.
**Get The Party Started**
Our in-house DJ reads the room and fills the floor, whatever your guests’ taste, and the sweet cart keeps children (and adults who claim to be taking one for the children) going all evening.
South Downs National Park
Surrey Countryside, Without Surrey Prices
Southdowns Manor sits just below the Surrey border in the South Downs National Park, in countryside that flows straight into the Surrey Hills. Guests coming from the county barely notice the crossing: the A3 runs almost door to door, and the landscape only gets greener.
For anyone making a weekend of it, the Devil's Punch Bowl and Hindhead Common are minutes up the road, Frensham's ponds and heathland are close by, and the market towns of Haslemere, Farnham and Petersfield all make lovely stop-offs. It's the escape-to-the-country wedding, without asking your Surrey guests to travel far at all.
Flexible Payment Options
We’d rather you chose your venue on love than on cash flow, so we offer payment plans spreading the cost of your Surrey wedding over 12 to 60 months, alongside seasonal offers and late-availability dates through the year.
Tell the team your preferred season and they’ll talk you through what’s available.
Celebrate at Our Award Winning Wedding Venue
Southdowns Manor’s shelf is getting crowded: Guides for Brides Customer Service Awards in 2022 and 2023, Wedding Venue (Hotel) of the Year at The Wedding Industry Awards 2022, Hitched Wedding Venue Winner in 2022 and 2024, and SME News Best Wedding & Events Venue in South East England 2020.
Every one of them belongs to the team, and to the couples who trusted us with their day.
