Tyler & Jade’s Fairytale Summer Wedding

A summer wedding is always a good idea! The days are longer, nature is in full bloom, and the British weather is (slightly!) more predictable. Choosing a wedding during the summer means you’re more likely to enjoy an outdoor ceremony under sunny skies. And what could be more magical than exchanging your vows in the sunshine, with our beautiful pagoda adorned with flowers and foliage as your backdrop?

Our luxurious Manor House decor and expertly manicured grounds created the perfect backdrop for our newlyweds, Tyler and Jade, who made themselves at home at our venue. Here’s how Southdowns Manor brought their fairytale July wedding to life…

Everything Ran Smoothly

After months of planning and anticipation, there’s no better feeling than seeing your perfect day unfold without a hitch. “It was amazing. From the set up on the day, with the little details like the personalised knife, and the little gifts in the room after our tiring day, to making sure it all ran smoothly!” shared Tyler.

He added, “Honestly, the venue is gorgeous, and what a day for it, weather-wise. We couldn’t thank you all enough. We’re so happy we could spend our big day here and would highly recommend it to anyone!”

At Home With Southdowns Manor

At Southdowns Manor, we pride ourselves on being an exclusive-use wedding venue, allowing couples and their guests to feel as though they’re in a home away from home throughout their stay. It’s one of the reasons Tyler and Jade chose us: “The scenery, how welcoming and attentive Karis, Lucy, and the team were. The representation of the venue, and just how at home we felt there.”

The Wedding Theme

The couple’s soft pink wedding theme oozed romance and charm. Jade looked ethereal in a stunning off-the-shoulder, A-line tulle gown with delicate floral lace detailing. Her bouquet featured a beautiful assortment of pink roses in various shades. Her curled up-do was complemented with a veil and a sparkling tiara—the perfect fairytale finishing touch!

Tyler looked dapper in a muted grey-beige three-piece suit, complete with dusky pink accents on his tie and buttonhole, which matched the bridal bouquet.

Blessed with a gloriously sunny day, Jade and Tyler tied the knot in our outdoor ceremony space, which was decorated with a cream aisle carpet, pink chair sashes, and a beautiful archway made of pink blossom flowers. Their two-tier wedding cake also featured delicate cherry blossom detailing.

The Photography

The couple had their big day captured by the talented young student photographer, Evie Murphy. They shared, “She was outstanding! We are so happy with her attention to detail, how she wasn’t too pushy, or in your face! She did so well for her first wedding.”
